Wiom (Omnia Information Private Limited) has raised $35 million through a Series B fundraise which saw participation from Accel, Prosus, BII and RTP Global.

The transaction team consisted of Dipanshu Singhal (Co-Founder Partner), Deepa Rai (Counsel), Steeve James (Associate) and Swapna Sarit (Associate).

Existing investors including YourNest, Omidyar Network India, Global Brain, Blume Founders Fund, Stride Ventures, and 100Unicorns also participated in the round. With this latest infusion, Wiom’s post-money valuation stands at around $200 million, and the company has cumulatively raised between $56 to $59 million across all funding rounds.

The funds will be used to scale Wiom’s affordable internet access model across India by strengthening its last-mile delivery infrastructure and expanding its network of public Wi-Fi hotspots under the PM-WANI framework. The company aims to bridge the digital divide by offering high-speed, low-cost internet to underserved urban and semi-urban populations, positioning itself as a key player in India’s drive toward universal internet access.

Wiom is an telecommunications startup focused on providing affordable and unlimited internet services specifically designed for middle and lower-middle-income households in India. As a Public Data Office Aggregator (PDOA), Wiom authenticates users and aims to disrupt traditional internet access models by offering a decentralized approach that caters to the unique needs of the Indian market.
