Second-year NUALS Kochi student found dead near campus

The student was reported missing on the night of April 2.

A second-year student at National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi has passed away.

As per reports, the student identified as Athul P Shabu was reported missing the night before. His body was found near Marthandavarma bridge, 6 km away from the NUALS campus on April 3.

A motorcycle and a mobile phone were also recovered near the bridge.

NUALS has made a formal announcement of the demise and cooperated with the relevant authorities to assist with any investigation.

To cater to the mental health of students, the University has a resident campus psychologist and the administration has agreed to frequently organize support sessions.

The Student Council has also requested for a mental health app/web-based service.
