#RecTracker: HNLU places 44 students of 2017 batch, 18 picked up by state law ministry [Updated]

Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur has placed 44 of its 2017 batch students.

A total of 73 students sat for placements, with the others opting for the UPSC and Judiciary exams, and litigation. The batch strength was 170. A significant chunk of the students who were placed (18) were picked up by Chhattisgarh’s Ministry of Law and Legislative Affairs.

A few students were also picked up by top law firms like Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, AZB & Partners and Trilegal. Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan made as many as 4 hires. Other law firms like Link Legal, Advaita Law, Arthe Law, Singh & Associates, Vaish Associates and BMR Legal also took part in hiring students of the 2017 batch.

ICICI and IMS also hired 1 student each, while 3 landed roles at Thomson Reuters, subject to an internship after graduation.

Four students decided to pursue higher studies in universities abroad and in India, while one student took up a Teach for India fellowship. One student joined the Chambers of Karan Joseph in Bangalore.
