NUSRL Ranchi wins 14th NA Palkhivala Memorial National Moot

The moot court competition was held at MNLU, Mumbai between October 17-20, 2024.

National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi (NUSRL) has won the 14th Padma Vibhushan NA Palkhivala Memorial National Moot Court organised by Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai.

The runner-up was Department of Law, University of Calcutta and the second runner-up was Law College Dehradun, Faculty of Law.

The best memorial was awarded to Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad and Best Speaker was given to Aakash Srivastava of Narsee Monjee Institution of Management Studies, Bangalore. Best Researcher was awarded to Zeenat Tasnim, Department of Law, University of Calcutta.

Varsha S of Sastra Deemed to be University, Tamil Nadu won the Research Paper Competition.

The valedictory ceremony was attended by Bombay High Court judges, Justices Abhay Ahuja and Neela Gokhale.

The valedictory ceremony also featured a panel discussion on the evolving landscape of legal practice and the critical role of mooting in shaping proficient advocates. The panelists were Vice-President of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal Bar Association, K Gopal, Vice-President of the All-India Federation of Tax Practitioners, Samir Jani and Advocate Nikita Bhadeka.
