NLU Jodhpur runners-up at 17th Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot

The competition witnessed 26 teams from across the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia.

A team from National Law University, Jodhpur finished as runners-up at the 17th Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court.

The team of Kovida Bhardwaj, Mudit Mangalam Pandey, Harshita Baswana and Akshat was the only Indian team to advance beyond the preliminary rounds.

Singapore Management University won the competition.

This year's moot problem dealt with the arbitrability of investor-state disputes, standards of lawful expropriation, relevance of fair market value versus regulatory pricing in determining compensation and the enforceability of umbrella clauses.

The moot was held at the offices of Noerr, Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, Clifford Chance and Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Frankfurt am Main. The competition witnessed 26 teams from across the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
