NALSAR wins 5th Cross Examination Moot 2025

A team from National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), Hyderabad has won the 5th Cross Examination Moot held from October 27-31 at Sciences Po and the International Chamber of Commerce, Paris.

The NALSAR team comprised Ashish Reddy, Dhruv Laalam, Jeetendra Vishwakarma, Sarthak Bansal and Shivanetra Palanisamy.

The team defeated King's College, London in the finals.

Other Indian teams that participated in the moot were National Law School of India University, Bangalore; National Law University, Delhi; Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur; Christ University, Bangalore; OP Jindal Global University and National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi.

The moot problem concerned a construction arbitration dispute arising from the sudden termination of battery production and commercialization contracts between private and state entities. It also involved allegations of deceptive practices during negotiations over construction permits, profit-sharing deals, and the pricing of essential raw materials.
