The Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), Sonipat has announced that its second and last phase of law school admissions to its five-year law programme will be closed on April 30, 2025.
JGLS was recently in the news after it emerged as India's Number 1 Law School in the QS World Universities Rankings by Subject -Law 2025 for the sixth consecutive year and among the top 100 law schools globally (ranked 78th in global rankings).
Vice Dean of JGLS and Director of Law Admissions at OP Jindal Global University (JGU), Prof Anand Prakash Mishra, expressed his deep satisfaction with the great success of the early admission process where the law school admitted 75 per cent of seats based on the LNAT Test conducted till January 31, 2025.
He has urged law aspirants to apply for the remaining 25 per cent of seats in each program by taking the LNAT Test on or before April 30, 2025.
“Today, the brightest students in the country are aspiring to study law and most of them aspire to study at JGLS as well. This is the last opportunity for students willing to join the law school in the academic year 2025-26 to take the LNAT Test on or before 30th April and qualify for admission in the prestigious 5-year Integrated BCom LLB, BBA LLB, and BA LLB Hons programmes," he said.
He added that JGLS has approved the intake of 300 seats in each programme (5 sections with 60 students each) in the early admissions round.
25 per cent of seats or 75 seats remain in each programme, meaning that a total of 225 seats are available in the second and last admission cycle ending April 30, 2025.
LNAT-UK for Undergraduate Admissions
The applicant can attempt the LNAT UK Exam on or before April 30, 2025, to be eligible for admissions offers to be rolled out on May 1, 2025, based on the cutoff determined by the Admissions Committee.
Designed to evaluate critical thinking and comprehension skills, the LNAT-UK assesses aptitude for legal studies rather than knowledge of specific legal subjects.
Understanding the LNAT Exam Format and Structure
Test Name: National Admission Test for Law or LNAT (also called LNAT-UK as accepted by Oxford, Cambridge and other leading UK law schools)
Test Owner: LNAT Consortium Ltd. based at Oxford University. JGLS is the only member law school from India.
Duration: 95 minutes
Number of Questions: 42
Paper pattern: 12 passages with 3-4 multiple-choice questions each. Full-length LNAT Question papers can be downloaded from the LNAT-UK website.
Format: The computer-based Test (CBT) is available at over 500 centres worldwide, including 40+ test centres in India.
Essay: JGLS doesn’t require essay writing.
Test Centres: The LNAT-UK test can be taken at 500+ centres worldwide, allowing students to choose their preferred test date and location.
Number of Attempts: Applicants can attempt the LNAT-UK only once during either admission cycle.
Merit cum Means Based Scholarships
LNAT-UK scores will be considered for merit cum means-based scholarships. Scholarships are awarded in the range of 10 per cent, 25 per cent, 50 per cent, and 75 per cent of Tuition Fees as per merit and annual parental income criteria.
