HNLU International Certificate Programme on Sustainable Trade and Environmental Governance: Apply now!

The Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur (HNLU), through its Centre for WTO and WIPO Studies, School of Law and Technology (SLT) has invited registrations for its Certificate Programme on Sustainable Trade and Environmental Governance.

The programme is organized by HNLU in collaboration with the Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL), Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the WTO Chairs Programme, and Economic Laws Practice (ELP).

The one-week certificate programme offers an interdisciplinary platform to explore critical intersections of international trade and environmental governance such as climate change, resource depletion, biodiversity loss, and globalisation, trade policies.

The one-week certificate programme will feature discussions led by distinguished professionals and scholars specializing in international trade, environmental law, business, and economic law.

Key Topics include

- The balance between trade liberalization and environmental protections

- The transition to circular and blue economies

- Sustainable trade practices such as non-plastic policies

- Analysis of international agreements such as GATT, CITES, and the WTO fisheries subsidies agreement

- Regional innovations like the EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM)

By fostering dialogue among students, scholars, academicians, and professionals in law, business, economics, public policy, and environmental studies, the programme aims to build an informed network of stakeholders committed to sustainable trade and environmental governance.

- Successful participants will receive an e-certificate from HNLU Raipur with their final grade based on the evaluation.
