
The Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur (DNLU Jabalpur) is set to host an Advanced Certificate Course on Insolvency Law from April 16-19, 2025.
The course will be conducted online and aims to provide participants with knowledge of insolvency and bankruptcy regulations that govern corporate and individual restructuring processes in India.

Course Overview
The Advanced Certificate Course on Insolvency Law covers a range of topics to understand the framework of insolvency law in India. It focuses on both corporate and individual insolvency resolution processes, providing participants with practical insights into the functioning of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), 2016.

The course is divided into four modules, each addressing key aspects of insolvency law
Module 1: Introduction to Insolvency Law and Important Concepts
- Introduction to Insolvency Law, important concepts, understanding insolvency, bankruptcy, liquidation, and restructuring.
- Evolution of Indian Insolvency Law
- Pre-IBC framework, the need for reform, and the enactment of IBC, 2016.
- Key Features of IBC, 2016.
Module 2: Liquidation Process and Voluntary Liquidation
- Liquidation Process and Voluntary Liquidation of corporate persons.
- Fast Track Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process.
- Adjudicating Authority for corporate persons.
- Offences and penalties.
- Pre-packaged Insolvency Resolution Process.
Module 3: Insolvency Resolution for Individuals and Partnerships Firms
- Bankruptcy Order for Individuals and Partnership Firms, Administration and Distribution of the Estate of the Bankrupt, Adjudicating Authority.
- Insolvency Resolution and Bankruptcy Process for Personal Guarantors to Corporate Debtors.
- Offences and penalties.
- Insolvency and Liquidation Proceedings of Financial Service Providers.
Module 4: Key Institutions and Professionals under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), 2016 - IBBI, IPA, IP, IU, IPE
- Code of Conduct.
- Valuation.
- Avoidance Transactions.
- Due diligence.
- Drafting Notices and Documents.
