
The Dhirubhai Ambani University (DAU) School of Law has entered into a partnership with Connect4Climate (C4C), a global partnership program of the World Bank Group, powered by the Italian Ministry of Ecological Transition and German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
The partnership is dedicated to accelerating and consolidating climate action in pursuit of a sustainable future, led by Founding Faculty Member, School of Law, Dhirubhai Ambani University, Dr Manuj Bhardwaj.
Aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, especially Goal 1 (No Poverty) and Goal 13 (Climate Action), this partnership will aim to compile collaborative research, promote climate literacy, and mobilize youth across academic and creative platforms.
It will also work to strengthen knowledge-sharing networks between DAU, School of Law and global institutions, leveraging C4C’s ongoing collaborations with bodies such as UN Climate Change, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), and leading universities like the University of Oxford and the Venice International University.
Founding Director, DAU, School of Law, Prof (Dr) Avinash Dadhich, emphasized the transformative potential of the partnership, stating that this collaboration with C4C World Bank Group places the institution at the forefront of global climate advocacy through law, policy, and innovation.
"This initiative empowers our students and researchers to engage directly with international climate discourse and policymaking, fostering a new generation of legal minds who are not only climate-literate but also equipped to drive systemic change," remarked Prof Dadhich, highlighting the School of Law's commitment to integrating sustainability and justice into the core of legal education.
DAU, School of Law and the C4C World Bank Group, by this partnership, aims to catalyse a generation of climate-aware youth and innovators committed to sustainability, equity, and action at all levels.
