
The Dhirubhai Ambani University, School of Law, a law school dedicated to focusing exclusively on working professionals, recently hosted its inaugural industry-academia conclave, EXECUTE 2025 (Executive Xpertise Engagement for Curriculum Upgradation in Training and Education) at the Taj Palace, New Delhi.
The conclave brought together industry leaders, legal experts, and academic collaborators to shape the curriculum for its executive programmes and blended LL M offerings.
The conclave focused on finalizing academic frameworks for the School of Law's three flagship verticals:
ESG, Carbon Markets and Sustainability
Construction Law and Arbitration
AI, Data Privacy and Technology Law
The three verticals are being led by the School of Law's faculty, Prof (Dr) Manuj Bhardwaj, Prof (Dr) Niteesh Kumar Upadhyay, and Prof (Dr) Vini Singh, respectively.
As part of its vision to embed deep industry insight into its academic DNA, the School announced the appointment of eminent professionals as Chairpersons of the Advisory Committees for each vertical:
- Ratan K Singh, Senior Advocate and Founding Chairman of the Society of Construction Law India, for Construction Law and Arbitration
- Sandesh Jadhav, Global Data Protection Officer at Wipro, for AI, Data Privacy, and Technology Law
- Amber Gupta, Head (Legal) and Senior Vice-President at the National Stock Exchange of India, for ESG, Carbon Markets, and Sustainability
Founding Director of the Law School, Prof (Dr) Avinash Dadhich, emphasized the University’s commitment to industry-academia collaboration, noting that 75% of all instruction will be led by practicing professionals, including 25% by global experts. The remaining 25% will be delivered by faculty drawn from top law schools worldwide.
“Our goal is to deliver the kind of legal education that bridges knowledge, practice, and policy, and empowers working professionals to upskill & transform their careers, a kind of learning that no institution in India currently offers," said Prof Dadhich in his opening remarks.
The conclave marked a crucial milestone in the School of Law’s mission to develop high-impact legal capacity, aligned with India’s goals under Viksit Bharat 2047.
